Role Overview

As Trainer, you will be responsible for the delivery of expert product knowledge during best-in-class training for retail customers and support partners based across the United States. The objective is to enable the confident adoption and optimized use of all hardware and software products.

You will need to be comfortable with travel and will spend up to 60% of your time travelling in this role. This is a hybrid position with a mixture of working from home, our office in Chicago and travel across North America to customer sites and the UK for quarterly company meetings. If you aren't based in Chicago but feel you fit the bill, we would still love to hear from you!

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a product training, L&D or technical support/training role. 
  • Strong experience delivering both in-person and virtual training sessions for technology focused products/solutions.
  • Confidence in engaging different learner types and managing group dynamics. 
  • Experience with technical products which have both Software and Hardware elements would be highly desirable, but is not essential.
  • An ability to troubleshoot or explain complex technical issues in a clear manner. 
  • Previous experience in the creation of training materials such as; manuals, slide decks and e-learning modules.
  • Experience with presentation tools such as; PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides. 
  • Confidence in the use of virtual meeting platforms such as; Zoom, Teams or Webex.
  • An understanding of instructional design principles such as ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which are clear, concise and also audience aware. 
  • Strong customer centricity with the ability to understand end-user needs and pain points, accompanied with experience in translating product features into real-world benefits.
  • The ability to assess learner understanding and adjust content in a live environment. 
  • Skilled in receiving and implementing feedback. 
  • Strong project and time management skills in order to manage multiple training rollouts or requests.

What you'll do

  • Deliver training (in-person and remotely) directly to end users or as a Train-the-Trainer programme to all VoCoVo customers, third party support partners and In-Store end users.
  • Utilize feedback and learnings to track and enhance the success of training delivered.
  • Deliver induction product training for all new VoCoVo employees as part of a consistent on-boarding process.
  • Monitor the post training assessments to validate effective student knowledge retention, repeating training modules as required until agreed benchmarking values have been achieved.
  • Forge and nurture robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enhancing the success of training delivered.
  • Contribute to the scoping and creation of digital training resources developed by the business. Engage in live studio sessions to script, storyboard and record captivating content alongside the creative team.
  • Work with learning management systems to upload online learning materials, evaluate completion and troubleshoot problems.
  • Support the roll out of new products by supporting in the development of training materials and the delivery of content to internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • 100% training compliance with new VoCoVo employees within the first 2 weeks of their onboarding.
  • Increased internal and external course completion rates via the learning management system known as the partner portal.
  • A reduction in low level support tickets by identifying training and
    knowledge gaps.

Salary
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000
