**Job Title: Sanitation Worker** **Job Description** As a sanitation worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and the production floor. Utilizing power sprayers, attachments, squeegees, and mops, you will be involved in breaking down and replacing equipment while adhering to sanitation standards necessary to pass swabbing tests. **Responsibilities** + Sanitize production equipment and machines. + Work with chemicals for sanitation purposes. + Understand essential chemical use, including dilutions and titration kits, and ensure safe handling. + Follow food safety standards, GMP, SQF, and HACCP requirements. + Adhere to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). + Lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally to repetitively. + Stand for long periods and reach or pull at least 25 lbs. + Bend frequently and use stairs or ladders. + Work in a wet environment due to spraying. + Work around conveyors, noting that moving conveyor belts may cause dizziness. + Work overtime and Saturdays when necessary. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in food safety standards, GMP, SQF, and HACCP requirements. + Basic mechanical aptitude. + Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays. + Ability to work safely. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least one year of experience working in a food production facility with sanitation experience. **Why Work Here** Join a company with over 25 years of experience, continually growing and expanding. The company offers stable, steady work and values long-term team members, with employee appreciation events such as BBQs and employee days. **Work Environment** This fast-paced food production facility operates six days a week, currently from Monday to Saturday, with shifts running from 9:45 PM to 6:30 AM, potentially starting at 11 PM. The work involves standing all day and performing repetitive motions with a team of 10-12 members. Training on chemical handling will be provided. The environment is GMP regulated, requiring hand washing, hair nets, beard nets, and blue smocks. The facility handles pungent ingredients like pepperoncinis, jalapenos, and olives, creating strong odors and a wet work environment with liquid from vegetable juices. Tasks include standing, walking, bending, stooping, and using hands for sorting, jar topping, core removal, cleaning, and inspections. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMERICAN CANYON, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.71 - $23.71/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
