Job Description

Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana? Do you have a passion for designing and managing railroad and transportation infrastructure projects? If so, we're looking for someone like you to take the lead on exciting projects from concept to completion.

About the Role
As a Project Engineer 2, you will play a key role in the design, development, and execution of rail and transportation projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple engineering tasks while ensuring projects meet industry standards and regulations. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, oversee project progress, and contribute to shaping essential infrastructure.

What You'll Do
Lead the design, planning, and execution of railroad and transportation infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and local/state codes.
Perform engineering calculations, develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful delivery.
Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients to coordinate project execution.
Conduct site assessments and provide technical support to ensure projects meet objectives.
Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, sharing your expertise and leadership.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana (required).
5+ years of experience in rail or transportation infrastructure project design and management.
Strong knowledge of railroad engineering principles, transportation systems, and industry codes/standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software.
Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines and budgets.
Experience with construction oversight and site assessments (preferred).
