Job Description
Job title: Orthopedic Surgeon Hand and wrist specialist
Location: Mount Vernon, IL 62864

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and upper extremity.
Perform surgical and non-surgical interventions to restore function and alleviate pain.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational/physical therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists.
Participate in shared call coverage for orthopedic patients.
Provide consultations, follow-up care, and ongoing management for acute and chronic conditions.
Contribute to the continued growth of the orthopedic service line through community engagement and clinical leadership.
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification/eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship training in Hand Surgery or equivalent extensive experience in hand/wrist procedures.
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills with a patient-first approach.
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
