Pharmacist Job Description Pharmacists will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of Home Delivery prescription orders. Dispense any or all of the following: Blood pressure, Asthma, some Chemotherapy medications, and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities + Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and making changes to prescription orders. + Ensure the accuracy and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders. + Fill and verify Mail Order prescriptions + Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise + Works exclusively within a specific knowledge area + Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines + Dispense medications and provide support and counseling to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. + Advise physicians about medication therapy. Essential Skills + Pharmacy + Pharmacist license in the State of FL + Attention to detail + Strong interpersonal skills + Strong oral and written communication skills + Leadership abilities to coordinate and direct pharmacy staff + Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy + Retail pharmacy experience in a high-volume + Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist preferred, but not required Work Environment + A Shift - Sun-Thurs 3p-1130pm + B Shift - Mon-Fri- 6am-230pm Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oviedo, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
