Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This role entails the following tasks: -Coordinates

with Materials Planning & Logistics Supervisor to meet customer demand and release changes -Enters production inventory and releases in scoresheet and SAP -Primary contact for any customer schedule changes in routings, PPAP and any model change overs -Forecasts and orders purchased parts and maintain component inventory -Creates sales orders and service requests and coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlines -Participates in monthly inventories \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: SAP experience preferred Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel Must be able to work in a team environment Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal Manufacturing experience preferred Additional skills desired: Supply Chain Knowledge: A strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution. Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use software tools like Excel, SAP/ERP or specialized logistics software to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions. Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory control techniques, including safety stock, economic order quantity (EOQ), and ABC analysis. Production Planning: Familiarity with production planning and scheduling methods to optimize manufacturing processes and minimize downtime. Forecasting: The ability to forecast demand and plan production and logistics operations accordingly. ERP Systems: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, to manage and track inventory, orders, and production processes. Lean and Six Sigma Principles: Understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce defects, and improve process efficiency. Logistics Management: Proficiency in transportation, distribution, and warehousing management to ensure efficient product movement. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with different teams, suppliers, and customers. Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues within the production and logistics processes and develop effective solutions. Project Management: Skills to plan and execute logistics and production improvement projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using specialized software and tools for logistics and inventory management. Teamwork: The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Time Management: The capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability: The flexibility to adjust to changing production and logistics demands. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and IATF standards, including import/export regulations, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Cost Analysis: The ability to perform cost-benefit analysis to optimize logistics and production processes while minimizing expenses. Customer Service Orientation: Understanding the importance of meeting customer demands and providing excellent service. Continuous Improvement: A mindset for continuous improvement and a commitment to finding ways to enhance processes and reduce costs. Risk Management: The ability to identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain and production processes.
