Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage inventory levels and ensure operational efficiency within our organization. This contract position is based in Alameda, California, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team by maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting smooth workflows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Responsibilities: - Conduct regular physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. - Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper documentation. - Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly. - Collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory control processes. - Maintain detailed records related to inventory tracking and audits. - Operate material handling equipment to facilitate inventory management. - Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures. - Support annual physical inventory efforts and assist with work order management. - Identify opportunities to improve inventory workflows and recommend solutions. Requirements - Proven experience in inventory management or a related field. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. - Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and procedures. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. - Basic proficiency in math and organizational skills. - Experience with material handling equipment is preferred. - Previous experience conducting physical inventory audits is a plus. - Commitment to adhering to company policies and maintaining operational efficiency.
