Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. 1. Scans files and saves them to the document Managment System in the format specified by the attorneys and staff. 2. Reviews scanned files to verify that all pages have been captured correctly. 3. Return or destroy scanned documents. 4. Close matters as instructed after scanning and review. 5. Close fileless matters as instructed by staff. 6. Assist with and cover mailroom duties as needed. 7. Assist with and cover reception/hostess duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or GED required. 2. One year clerical experience required; six months legal and/or detailed filing experience preferred. Good working knowledge of MS Word software. 3. Must be detailed oriented and experienced in dealing with numerical and alphabetical accuracy. 4. Must be able to work independently with specific guidance and direction. 5. Must possess the ability to deal with a variety of personalities in a calm manner.
Physical Requirements: 1. Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach. Occasionally required to squat and kneel. 3. Ability to reach with hands and arms. 4. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Summary: Maintains a paperless file management system as outlined by each department. May cover for Receptionist or Runner positions at the firm as needed. Performs responsibilities in accordance with all firm standards, policies and procedures.
