Fleet Manager — Duncan, SC
Full-time | On-site | Monday–Friday

I’m recruiting for a growing trucking company based in upstate South Carolina. They’re expanding their fleet due to newly awarded long-term contracts and need an experienced Fleet Manager to take ownership of maintenance, repairs, and compliance across a large fleet.

The situation:
The company operates more than 80 trucks and 300 trailers, and they’re looking for someone with hands-on fleet maintenance or operations experience who can bring structure, reliability, and a proactive mindset to the role.

What you’ll do:

• Work on-site at the company’s main terminal in Duncan, SC (Monday–Friday)
• Manage vendor relationships for maintenance and repairs
• Track and schedule service using telematics systems
• Coordinate road service for breakdowns
• Review, verify, and approve repair invoices
• Build and maintain a robust pre-trip inspection program
• Share limited after-hours support responsibilities (most driving happens during standard business hours)

What they’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience with commercial fleet maintenance—either from a repair shop or fleet operations perspective
• Solid understanding of truck and trailer mechanical systems
• Ability to perform and train others on DOT-compliant pre-trip inspections
• Strong communication skills and the patience to support drivers
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and telematics platforms (e.g., Samsara, Motive)
• CDL-A is a plus, but not required
