Job Summary: 

The Director of Project Management leads a team of project managers responsible for delivering high-impact customer implementations across AI, CPaaS, and enterprise automation. This role ensures projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and alignment to customer value. The Director will coach and mentor a national team, drive PMO best practices, and ensure operational excellence in regulated environments like healthcare and financial services.

This role requires a forward-thinking, delivery-focused leader with a strong track record of mentoring talent, navigating cross-functional complexity, and delivering scalable results in a high-growth SaaS environment.

 

Responsibilities: 

Team & Talent Leadership (50%)

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of project managers across complex implementation programs

Develop clear performance goals and individualized growth plans for each team member

Ensure consistent use of project delivery methodologies, tools, and standards

Conduct regular talent calibration, skills assessments, and development planning

Cultivate a high-performing team culture grounded in accountability, agility, and continuous improvement

Program & Portfolio Oversight (40%)

Oversee the execution of complex customer onboarding and implementation projects

Drive alignment with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to ensure timely, value-driven outcomes

Manage project portfolio dashboards, risk logs, and executive status reporting

Ensure project delivery aligns with customer value realization in healthcare and financial services, meeting regulatory and compliance requirements

Lead cross-functional retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery velocity and customer satisfaction

Strategic Enablement (10%)

Partner with executive leadership to shape IntelePeer’s delivery strategy, tools, and team capacity planning

Contribute to operational frameworks that support scalable and repeatable implementation practices

Represent Project Management in key customer conversations, escalations, and QBRs

Required Qualifications 

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional implementation programs in a SaaS or communications environment

Strong knowledge of compliance, privacy, and delivery frameworks in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA) and financial services (e.g., SOC2, PCI)

Proven ability to coach project managers and drive a culture of performance and accountability

PMP certification or equivalent formal project management training

Exceptional communication, escalation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience working with AI/automation platforms and technical deployments

Familiarity with CPaaS, UCaaS, or enterprise communications technology

Experience leading PMO functions or building delivery methodologies from the ground up

Education & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 in a leadership role

Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) or advanced certifications (PMI-ACP, PgMP)

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary work lifting no more than 10 pounds.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and standing.
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate office equipment.
• Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports, and related department documents.
• Dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other related office equipment.
• Endurance sufficient to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Frequent speech communication and hearing.
