Digital Content and Social Media Coordinator Location Lexington, KY :

: Lexington Sporting Club is a professional soccer club with a men's team competing in USL League One and a women's team set to launch in August of 2024. In addition to the professional teams, Lexington Sporting Club is comprised of a youth club with over 1,000 players within its youth and academy systems, a pre-professional women's team in the USL W League, two indoor soccer facilities, a $20 million soccer complex, and a soccer-specific stadium and performance facility coming in 2024. The club is a community-oriented organization focused on providing opportunities for youth development, fostering competition, and delivering exceptional professional soccer experiences. Department: Lexington Sporting Club Marketing Department Contractual Status: Full-time. Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

JOB SUMMARY:

Looking for a talented, intelligent, passionate, and driven Digital Content and Social Media Coordinator to join our team. Under general direction and supervision of the CMO, he/she will be responsible for managing the social platforms and all marketing pieces. The club is looking for someone with industry experience in managing social media marketing programs, driving revenue via ticket sales, sponsorship and merchandise sales, and increasing the size of social audiences across platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, creative idea generator and digital marketing and sports/entertainment enthusiast. He/she must be comfortable working outside of traditional business hours for games and events.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement marketing programs across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and more) in collaboration with the CMO
  • Drive revenue via social media platforms (ticket sales, merchandise sales and sponsorship)
  • Manage day-to-day communications across team/stadium social media channels utilizing team/brand voice
  • Create and manage social media content calendars
  • Work with multiple departments to support the brand and varied timely initiatives on social media
  • Work Lexington Sporting Club games and events and provide real-time social media updates
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and analytics on all social media platforms
  • Identify and interpret social media trends for brand benefit
Required Knowledge/Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree (a related field is preferred); and
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in social media/marketing (sports/entertainment/brand experience preferred)
  • Extremely familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Familiar with social reporting tools- specifically, the ability to pull reports, analyze data, and leverage the information to drive subsequent campaigns
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Photoshop is preferred
  • An incredible attention to detail
  • The ability to manage one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
  • Strong communication skills: Comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills
  • Ability to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption;
  • Good decision-making skills, demonstrate sound judgment and interpersonal skills;
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Self-directed and able to work independently, while also flourishing in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
