CRANE OPERATOR! 

Akron

Responsible for operating a  traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition load.  Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down. 

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Mechanical skills: Understanding of how to use crane controls to maneuver the crane and make small adjustments when traveling from one location to the next and placing down their loads. 
• Alertness: Work to stay aware of their crane, their load and their surroundings at all times to complete tasks efficiently and without incidents.
• Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail when inspecting and operating their cranes to identify and fix potential hazards before they occur.

• Verbal communication: Strong verbal communication skills to give and understand directions from the ground while they operate the equipment or move materials.

REQUIREMENTS : 

• Operating a crane.
• Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety.
• Performing routine maintenance.
  
• Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism.
• Using lever and pedal controls efficiently.
