Job Title : Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Type:  Contract-to-Hire (CTH)

Location:  Braintree, MA (On-site)

Compensation:  $24 – $28 / Hour (based on experience)

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Overview:

Addison Group is seeking three experienced Accounts Receivable Specialists for a growing healthcare organization in Braintree, MA. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a high-growth environment. One role will focus on payment posting, another on Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims, and the third on traditional medical billing.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
  • 30-minute lunch
  • Flexible start time between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Post payments from various sources: mail, credit card, ACH/EFT, and 835 files
  • Reconcile batch totals and resolve unapplied payments
  • Monitor and resolve remit station errors
  • Download and process EOBs from clearinghouses or payer portals
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely posting
  • Work denials and follow up on outstanding claims
  • Handle MVA and Workers’ Comp claims (for designated role)
  • Perform other billing-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of healthcare billing or payment posting experience
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (any EMR is acceptable)
  • Strong understanding of insurance denials, MVA claims, and MassHealth
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation (onsite role – car required)
