**Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Swiss Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machinist to join our dynamic machine shop that serves aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial industries. This role requires precision and expertise in creating quality parts while adhering to production rates. **Responsibilities** + Run production jobs as assigned by supervisor or leadman. + Produce quality parts according to blueprints and work orders while meeting required production rate. + Maintain open communication and cooperation with supervisor/leadman. + Ensure a clean and safe working environment. + Adhere to company rules and employee manual. + Follow instructions of related Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and Work Instructions. + Exercise authorities as described in the related QMS documentation and as given by direct supervisor/manager. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Skill in operating CNC machines, particularly Swiss machines. + Proficiency in using calipers and performing machining tasks. + Troubleshooting capabilities. + Minimum of 3 years machining experience on a Swiss machine, preferably Star, with steel and aluminum. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic shop math skills. + Understanding of safety and environmental rules. + Ability to comprehend and follow shop planning and supervisor/leadman's instructions. + Capability to inspect own work as directed by quality department or shop supervision. + Competence in communicating effectively with fellow employees. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a great career opportunity with constant training and growth potential, as it is contract-to-hire. **Work Environment** The work environment is a 50,000 sq/ft aerospace machine shop equipped with over 50 CNC machines. The facility manufactures parts used in jet fighters, missiles, commercial airplanes, helicopters, satellites, race cars, medical equipment, and water pumps. The role includes manufacturing some parts for military purposes, and candidates must be comfortable with this aspect. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
