Renewal of Driving Licence
We provide a service for handling the renewal of Hong Kong official driving licenses.
Supporting Documents:
- fill out the appropriate form
- HK identity card (copy)
- address proof (within 3 months)
Eligibility for Application:
- a driving licence holder, and
- age below 70
- a full driving licence will be expired in 4 months, or that has expired for a period not exceeding 3 years
Fee:
- Handling fee: HK$300
- Transport Department fee: HK$900
International Driving Permit
Currently, more than 93 countries/places recognise the IDP issued in Hong Kong. An IDP is valid for one year from the date of issue, it can be used for multiple times within the validity period.
Eligibility for Application:
- holding a HK identity card, and
- holding a valid Hong Kong full driving licence
Supporting Documents:
- HK Identity Card (copy) and a valid Hong Kong full driving licence (copy)
- 2 identical, new and recent photographs showing the full face (50mmＸ40mm)
- address proof (within 3 months)
Fee:
- Handling fee: HK$300
- Transport Department fee: HK$80
Repeater early test appointment
- Applicants must wait for four working days after their last scheduled examination date before they can apply for a retest through expedited registration.
- Retest candidates who have already rescheduled their driving tests with the Transport Department are not eligible to apply for expedited registration. If not, their eligibility for expedited registration will be revoked.
- Our school will select the expedited examination date for candidates, and candidates may not object to the chosen date (the examination venue is arranged by the Transport Department).
- Candidates who successfully obtain expedited retest will take the examination within 10 to 35 days. The expedited date cannot be transferred. The examination date cannot be changed except for the health reasons. If a request for extension is made due to health reasons, only a "tail period" will be assigned.
- If you entrust our school to schedule the driving test and need to retrieve the scheduling letter without participating in driving training and examination at our school, the examination car rental deposit and expedited handling fee will not be refunded.
- Students requesting expedited registration through our school will be required to pay a fee. If they are not selected, the handling fee will be refunded.
- If students do not accept the selected expedited date and request another draw, they will need to pay the expedited handling fee again for another arrangement.
